TELL YOUR STORY
It’s great to be back! I took about a two-year hiatus to work on my book and focus on my new family. Sadly, most of my live blog content was lost when we switched hosting services a while back. But there’s no time like the present to start fresh and new.
If you haven’t already read the About Me page, let me take a quick second to introduce myself. My name is Alyssa Winslow, and I have a pretty unique story. Just over six years ago, my first husband and daughter died in a devastating car accident on I-15, leaving my oldest daughter and me alive to pick up the pieces of our shattered world.
Thankfully we had many families, friends, and neighbors help us adjust to the new journey we never planned on taking.
Shortly after the accident, I started blogging on afterthevictory.com. I shared stories about my life and other vulnerable experiences coping with life after losing half my family. My blog was extremely valuable in healing my broken heart. It helped me strengthen my testimony in God and solidified my knowledge that there is truly life after this one. And while I’m sad that my past blog posts are gone, I’m happy that the few salvaged posts are now preserved in my book, After the Victory.
I hope you all will continue to follow my unwritten story because I still have so much of it left to live through and tell.
While my new book tells part of my life’s story and focuses on how I found hope and healing during a very difficult time, I also know that each of you has a story of your own.
I hope you know that I see you and am rooting for you. You are not alone, and God is very mindful of you. Keep hanging in there. Your story is beautiful and is waiting to be told too. Keep writing and never give up. You’ve come too far.
